Is the beast back? AT&T re-merges
AT&T & Bellsouth have re-merged. There is a more descriptive graphic in Wikipedia. The only remaining parts of the original Ma Bell are now the Qwest and Verizon mergers.
I really am at a loss... As more times goes by, monopolies seem to and control more and more of our daily lives: telphones, television, food, transportation... It is really like I've heard before: "competition for them, cooperation for us", "them" being "workers" and people at the bottom of the social pyramid and "us" being "companies" and the "owners of the world", as they are becoming.
